23-June Post From KOA in Waco

I am putzing around this morning. I got up around 6:00 and it is 6:47 as I write this. Julie is sleeping. This blogging takes a little time, so I am going to make this a shorter one. I will also likely create a short one tonight when we get into Caprock Canyons State Park, and a longer one tomorrow because we are not traveling tomorrow.

I am going to attempt to attach 2 pictures to the Blog.

Yesterday, we get 17.5 MPG in the 4Runner from our house in Houston to The KOA Campground North of Waco. I am pretty happy with that. I like the Idea of having all of the amenities of a Class A mobile home with all of the economy and ecological “greenness” of 17.5 MPG.

I am becoming a fan of the Toyota 4Runner. I miss being able to just through stuff in the back of the pick up truck, but this thing sure does ride smoothly.

I’d recommend this campground to anyone coming through Waco. It is pretty, has trees, and a little stream running through it. It also has “cozy cabins” for those who are not pulling RVs. If you come here, going to Yianni’s Greek Restaurant is a “must do”. It is walking distance from the KOA. Price is a little high, but what the heck, we are on vacation and the food was world class.
